Before detailing Chris’s professional abilities, I would like to state that he is an exceptionally pleasant person to deal with. This makes resolving any matters of law much easier.
I was put in touch with Chris about 3 years ago as I needed to review and change my U.K. Will. He quickly understood my situation and desires and was able to put these into a new Will that he produced in short order. In the past I have had dealings with lawyers who have taken unacceptable lengths of time to produce a result! Chris just gets on with it.
Once the Will was signed, he then ensured that it was lodged with a company that will administer the Will as and when I pop my clogs! This company have transparent and reasonable charges for this service which is far better than leaving it in the hands of a lawyer where charges seem anything but transparent.
Last year I needed help in removing a Charge that I had on my ex-wife’s property and which I no longer wanted to keep. I had asked for legal help on this some years ago from another U.K. lawyer who made the situation so complicated that I did nothing about it. Chris did all the necessary research into this situation and, again in short order, produced a resolution.
I have no hesitation in recommending Chris as an extremely competent lawyer in the field of U.K. law.

You carried out my will request with good guidance and well-honed experience. Sadly I missed being a corporate millionaire but with what assets I do have you advised me wisely on their management.
I think we had a good understanding and there was nothing I would wish to change. Maybe an annual follow-up, phone chat, on matters which could have arisen could be a good move?

Before I met with you I was a nervous wreck! I couldn’t sleep, nor eat properly and was worried the whole time.When we met you immediately put me at ease and made me feel comfortable. This is unusual as I find it difficult to trust anyone. You did exactly what you said you would do and spoke to me strongly (which I needed to be told) telling me to “stop worrying”. That you would take over whatever was needed at the time. I know I can do that now!

We were very satisfied with the service we received. Everything was explained to us and our questions answered fully. We think it would be useful to clarify and support the reasoning why the wills do not need to be notarised and translated here in Portugal. The reason for this comment is that there is so much speculation and scare-mongering around these days, particularly on Social Media, that we believe people need hard facts from the source at the outset of their undertaking..
